Trump’s focus turns from Iran to war facing Republicans in midterms

Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney reports that US President Donald Trump has been highly critical of Republican candidates for poor polling numbers.

“He’s spent a lot of energy in the last 48 hours, laying the foundation for blaming other people for a Republican failure,” Mr Mulvaney told News24.

“He’s talked about how it’s the candidate’s fault; he’s talked about how it’s his advisors’ fault, talked about how it’s the fault of men and women in the Senate.

“Republicans are out there pulling money out of competitive races; they’re moving money around.”
